Yesterday, while on the road with my family, my Dad insisted that we try Chick-Fil-A for the first time. Now, I knew that Chick-Fil-A had been getting a lot of hype in the past year, but I had never tried it. So, I figured that this was my opportunity to figure out what the hype was all about.
So, after we ordered takeout, and we began to eat, I realized that Chick-Fil-A really isn’t all that. Though the chicken strips there aren’t actually that bad, the foods that incorporate the chicken with other ingredients, for example the spicy chicken sandwich, could’ve been executed a little better, and could’ve tasted a little better too. Also, I wasn’t a huge fan of their waffle fries, or their mac’n cheese. I thought the whole things was average or below average in terms of taste and presentation. Overall, I thought there were also WAY too many pickles! In every sandwich there were pickles. And for a non-pickle-lover like me, it’s not the most convenient. In conclusion, I probably wouldn’t eat there again, unless it was a dire emergency.
A few days ago, I was in Metuchen and decided to stop off for a meal at Bishop’s Bistro. It was obviously a family restaurant, but to be honest, that made it even MORE special. I ordered the Barbeque Ribs, and they were delicious. They came with mac’ n cheese and some veggies. As a drink, I ordered some sweet tea. Though my meal was delicious, I have to admit that at the bottom of the ribs, all of the seasonings had gathered together, and that kind of threw me off. Otherwise, I totally recommend this meal.
The other day, I went to Panera Bread. Everyone loves Panera, I mean, come on. I had picked out a caesar salad, with mac’n cheese on the side. Now, I had never had the mac’n cheese at Panera Bread, and was eager to try it. So, when I got my food, I began to attack the caesar salad viciously with my mouth (basically I ate it really fast). Then, I decided to try the mac’n cheese. I took a few bites, and then, out of NOWHERE, as I was going to scoop up more of it, I saw something. As I picked it up, I realized that in my food was PLASTIC. Cold, shiny, hard plastic. I put it down, and was like: “Why the heck is there plastic in my food?!” I shrugged it off, and kept eating. Then, I saw another piece. Like, WHAT?! I was really confused, and told my dad that I had just found two pieces of plastic in my mac’n cheese!
