Review: Flocafe

AKT Rating: 4 WOWS!!!

While I was on my shopping spree at the Athens, Greece mall, my aunt and I went to Flocafe to get a quick drink. At this pristine coffee shoppe, I ordered a sparkling lemonade slushie. This delicious slushie was a quick drink (since I do happen to have a slushie obsession). This refreshing drink was minty and sweet, and made the perfect thing for a hot and sunny day. Having a sip out of my mom’s coffee, it was delicious. And as a kid, I don’t like coffee at all. This drinks were absolutely perfect, but what about the place itself? The place was clean and nice, and had a modern touch to it. It was kind of dark, but the fact that there was no set door made it feel bright and open. Additionally, as a small little appetizer, they gave out little cookies that really eased you into your meal or drink.

Video Review: Annual Celebrity Chef Competition – Mint Chocolate Chip Cheesecake

AKT Rating: 5 WOWS!

Healthiness Rating: 5 YUMS!

I participated in the Celebrity Chef Fundraiser on October 18, 2018, and let me tell you, it was a blast. There were three key parts to this amazing event. First there was the main event, which was the tasting and selling of chef’s creations, which was followed by an original play, and lastly the awards ceremony to acknowledge the chefs who raised the most donations.

As a chef who had her own table, I can tell you, to participate; it’s no walk in the park. The food preparation took me one week to plan, and three days to make. Designing my table took a lot of effort because I had to go to three different shops more than once to get the right items, and I also had to make sure that everything matched my theme. But the most challenging part was being prepared for a possible interview with NJTV Classroom Close-Up.

Review: Cold Stone

AKT Rating: 4 WOWS!

I recently went to Cold Stone. An amazing ice cream place with fancy cones. Last time I went, I ordered a 30th anniversary cone with mint and strawberry ice cream. I was amazing. But, for somebody with a few loose teeth of her own, like me, it was a bit of a hassle trying to bite through it without having a stream of blood come out of my mouth. It was also really filling. So, I stopped eating mid way. As amazing as it was, please try to get something way smaller than what I got. Unless you have a huge sweet tooth, and gigantic stomach that can hold it all.

Have You Ever… Tried Sugar Water with Mint?

AKT Rating: 5 WOWS!

Have you ever had that one drink that instantly cheers you up? Mine is sugar water with mint. Though it might seem a bit basic, the sweetness of it instantly rejuvenates me and makes me feel awake.

  • Water
  • Sugar (at least 2 to 3 teaspoons)
  • 1 to 2 mint leaves

  • Pour water into glass
  • Put sugar in (I recommend putting in some sugar, stirring then tasting to make sure you don’t want more/less)
  • Rip up your mint leaves, and plop them in
